RN - Multi Care Unit (ICU/PCU/MST)

Location: Prescott Valley, AZ

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in a combined ICU, PCU, and MST unit
Titrate critical drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin based on patient response
Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs and monitor telemetry for PCU and MST patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to manage medical ICU, PCU, and medical-surgical patients
Float to affiliated campuses as needed to maintain competency in all acuity levels
Serve as charge nurse for a 50-bed unit, managing assignments and patient flow

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
At least 2 years of ICU experience, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med Surg in a large facility
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam (80% within two attempts) before starting assignment
Strong skills in titrating drips and managing critical care patients

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in managing ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP with RT support
Skilled in remote telemetry monitoring and 12-lead EKG interpretation
Ability to independently manage ICU patients on bedside cardiac monitors
Knowledge of common diagnoses: sepsis, DKA, COPD, respiratory arrest, COVID, withdrawal syndromes
