Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU with a 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Manage complex cardiac, trauma, and stroke patients
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
Interpret cardiac monitors and telemetry strips
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed with appropriate ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required at submittal
Must pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Proficiency in titrating cardiac and sedation drips
Ability to interpret telemetry and cardiac strips
Excellent communication and teamwork
Adaptability to varying patient ratios and floating
