Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1830 and 1830-0630, every other weekend, 2 out of 3 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Manage ventilators and advanced hemodynamic monitoring (CVPs, Arterial Lines, Swans, EV-1000)
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including fellows and residents to deliver high-quality care
Respond to Rapid Response Teams and Codes as needed
Float to all inpatient units except Maternity/NICU
Participate in orientation and pass open-book exam on unit skills

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required
Driver's license required (to verify 50-mile radius rule)

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking and ability to titrate drips
Telemetry interpretation and central line management
Experience with CRRT, Impella, balloon pump, and ICP monitoring preferred (training available)
Comfortable with ventilators and high-flow oxygen devices
Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
