RN - Bed Placement/Patient Placement

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM (days) or 6:30 PM-7:00 AM (nights), including weekends and holidays. Self-scheduling after initial schedule.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinate patient placements across multiple hospital units, ensuring appropriate bed assignments
Utilize critical thinking to assess bed requests and communicate discrepancies to leadership
Manage patient flow using TeleTracking and Cerner systems across up to 3 hospitals and 500-1000 beds
Collaborate with ED, nursing leadership, and other departments to optimize bed utilization
Operate multiple computer screens and applications simultaneously to manage patient placements efficiently

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
Experience with TeleTracking and Cerner systems
Strong computer skills including Google applications and Zoom
Excellent multitasking and customer service skills
Willingness to complete pre-employment Dys exam within 24-48 hours of offer

Knowledge & Skills

Patient placement and bed management processes
Critical thinking and decision-making in high-volume environments
Effective communication with interdisciplinary teams
Proficiency in Cerner and TeleTracking
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
