Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Monitor and assess critically ill children, interpreting vital signs and trends
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans
Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns promptly
Educate families and caregivers on condition, care plans, and discharge instructions
Participate in unit orientation, training, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (Massachusetts preferred)
Clinical experience or interest in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Current BLS and PALS certifications preferred or willingness to obtain
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity pediatric environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric critical care fundamentals and PICU workflows
Monitoring and interpretation of pediatric vital signs and hemodynamics
Experience with medication administration and infusion pumps
Familiarity with ventilator support and respiratory interventions for children
Family-centered care and effective communication with caregivers
Infection control and pediatric safety protocols
