Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on daily care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans set by the team
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure coordinated care
- Help uphold facility infection control and safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (or state equivalent) is required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working in a hands-on clinical environment with adults
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience as a CNA is a plus, but motivated new grads are welcome to apply
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
- Ability to follow care plans and document observations accurately
- Familiarity with infection control practices and HIPAA basics
- Good interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
- Dependable time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
