Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Support nursing staff with wound care, specimen collection, and basic clinical tasks as directed
• Document care thoroughly and timely in patient records to ensure continuity
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to provide comfort, education, and updates
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean care environment

Qualifications

• Current, active CNA certification in Georgia (required)
• Minimum clinical experience as a CNA preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills encouraged to apply
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic patient care, ADLs, and mobility assistance
• Comfortable taking vitals and recognizing/reporting clinical changes
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safety procedures
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
