Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and hemodynamic data to anticipate patient needs
• Administer medications and manage complex IV drips and ventilator settings
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and care plans with empathy
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license or eligibility to obtain RN licensure in Hawaii
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Clinical ICU experience preferred; demonstrated ability in critical care nursing
• Comfort with managing ventilators, vasopressors, and advanced monitoring
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and required screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and prioritization
• Ventilator management and respiratory support techniques
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• Familiarity with common ICU equipment and monitoring systems
• Accurate electronic health record documentation and handoffs
• Calm decision-making in high-acuity and fast-paced environments
