Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift (specific start/end times and days to be confirmed with the facility)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
Take and document vital signs and observe changes in resident condition
Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
Accurately document care and communicate changes to nursing staff
Support residents' emotional well-being by engaging respectfully and attentively
Collaborate with the nursing team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Connecticut (state registry required)
Completion of an approved CNA training program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or obtained upon hire if required by facility
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
Compassion, patience, and a commitment to resident-centered care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and safe patient handling techniques
Infection prevention and control best practices
Accurate charting and documentation
Basic clinical observations: vital signs and condition changes
Effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
