Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced ED environment
Assess, triage and prioritize patients quickly and accurately
Perform timely interventions and implement physician-directed treatment plans
Collaborate closely with physicians, techs and support staff for seamless care
Maintain clear, accurate documentation and handoffs to support patient safety
Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures and discharge plans
Respond rapidly to emergencies and assist in resuscitations and critical procedures

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility to obtain one
Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred or willingness to obtain
Emergency Department experience preferred; open to experienced and motivated ED nurses
Demonstrated ability to work in a high-acuity, team-oriented setting
Strong communication skills and commitment to patient safety

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
Cardiac monitoring and basic emergency procedures
Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients safely
Proficiency with clinical documentation and handoff processes
Team collaboration and clear communication under pressure
