Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status overnight
• Document care and clinical changes clearly in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Respond promptly to emergencies and assist with patient transfers as needed
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe patient environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (LPN candidates may be considered per unit needs)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Clinical experience in acute care or relevant nursing setting preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and bedside skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; comfortable working overnight

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• LPN: Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring during overnight shifts
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Electronic medical record (EHR) documentation
• Care planning and clinical prioritization
• Triage, critical thinking, and emergency response
• Patient and family education best practices
• Infection prevention and safety protocols
