Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to a 30-bed cardiac progressive care unit
Manage patients with chest tubes, pacer wires, and various drips
Monitor telemetry and interpret 12-lead EKGs
Assist with post-cath care, thoracic surgery, and open-heart recovery
Collaborate with a high-energy team of RNs and PCTs
Administer medications including heparin, amiodarone, and milrinone
Support oxygen management from BIPAP to heated high flow

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year current acute care PCU hospital experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience with chest tube management and removal
Competency in pacer wire management and removal
Ability to read 12-lead EKGs
Experience with drips such as heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, ketamine
Great team player with high energy and flexibility
Values communication and collaboration

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Meditech EMR
Knowledge of telemetry monitoring
Skills in cardiac drips and oxygen delivery systems
Understanding of post-cath and post-surgical care for cardiac patients
Comfortable with high-acuity, fast-paced environment
