Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts, days may vary)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to cardiac progressive care patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity unit
Monitor telemetry and manage cardiac drips including heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and more
Perform chest tube management, removal, and care for post-thoracic surgery patients
Assist with post-cath procedures including TAVRs, ablations, and pacemaker implantations
Collaborate with a dynamic team of RNs and PCTs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Utilize Meditech EMR to document and coordinate care efficiently

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of current acute care PCU hospital experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
Ability to manage chest tubes, remove pacer wires, and interpret 12-lead EKGs preferred
Experience with O2 management including BiPAP and high-flow nasal cannula
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a high-energy environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Meditech EMR
Skilled in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Experience with IV drips management (heparin, amiodarone, milrinone, etc.)
Knowledge of post-cath and post-thoracic surgery care
Adaptable and flexible in a rapidly changing clinical setting
