Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, rotating weekends (every other Friday and Saturday)

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to patients in MedSurg Telemetry and Progressive Care Units
Monitor cardiac rhythms and intervene as needed, including caring for cardiac catheterization patients
Float between units based on patient needs, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Mentor and support less experienced staff as a seasoned traveler

Qualifications

2+ years of recent MedSurg Tele and PCU experience required
2+ years of cardiac experience, including caring for cardiac patients and post-cath patients
Active ACLS and BLS certifications (must have prior to submission)
Active Rhode Island or compact state RN license
EPIC experience strongly preferred
Willingness to work every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Skilled in EPIC documentation system
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to adapt quickly to different units and patient populations
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
