Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to laboring mothers and their newborns in a supportive LDRP unit
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, titrating medications like Pitocin and Magnesium as needed
Assist with deliveries, including vaginal births and cesarean sections, ensuring a safe and positive experience
Educate and support new parents on breastfeeding and newborn care
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage high-risk pregnancies and postpartum complications

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Comfortable with titrating drips and managing obstetrics emergencies
Pass an open-book exam during orientation (90% required to pass)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Skilled in maternal and newborn assessment
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Ability to work in a fast-paced, family-centered environment
