Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, alternating weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients, ensuring safe deliveries
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using EFM, IUPC, and other equipment
Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and TOLAC procedures
Administer medications and manage pain relief options, including epidurals
Collaborate with a dynamic team of nurses, physicians, and midwives in a high-volume Level IV unit
Educate new parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
EFM certification and SVE competency
Ability to circulate for C-sections
Team player with a positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpreting tracings
Experience with Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, and other L&D equipment
Competent in sterile techniques and surgical assistance
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
