Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Provide skilled nursing care and lifesaving interventions for acute and critical cases
• Administer medications, IV therapies and emergency protocols per facility policies
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity during stressful moments
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ED outcomes and safety

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (ability to obtain Hawaii RN licensure required)
• Experience working in an Emergency Department is strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong assessment skills and comfort managing high-acuity patients
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment with good communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and triage in emergent situations
• Cardiac monitoring, IV therapy and acute care procedures
• Rapid decision making and prioritization under pressure
• Clear documentation and effective interdisciplinary communication
• Compassionate patient and family education during high-stress events
