Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with call rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery
Assist in the operating room as a circulating or scrub nurse for CV procedures
Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamics during surgery
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team for optimal outcomes
Ensure sterile field and aseptic technique are maintained at all times
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the EMR

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiovascular OR experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required (or willingness to obtain)
Flexibility to take call and work weekends as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation
Expertise in sterile technique and OR safety protocols
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
