Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams using established imaging protocols
• Position patients carefully and safely to obtain accurate images while ensuring patient comfort
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, following safety and infection control procedures
• Review images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists on any issues
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in the imaging system
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and clinical team members
• Adhere to radiation safety principles and departmental policies at all times

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification or registry-eligible in Radiography (preferred)
• Licensure or certifying credentials required by the state of Louisiana
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills
• Prior experience in diagnostic radiography preferred but motivated new grads are welcome to apply

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiographic positioning and exposure techniques
• Familiarity with PACS and basic image management systems
• Understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Ability to follow departmental protocols and adapt to clinical workflow
• Good interpersonal skills for patient interaction and interdepartmental communication
