Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM (4x10-hour days; Monday shifts 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM); Day shift. Note: Clinic locations rotate by day (Mon/Thu First Hill, Tue North Gate, Wed Canyon Park).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients efficiently and professionally, collecting history and preparing them for the provider
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient measurements accurately
• Scribe and chart in EPIC during visits to ensure complete, timely documentation
• Assist providers with in-clinic procedures including biopsies, dressing changes, and minor procedures
• Collect, label, and process specimens with attention to detail and chain-of-custody
• Administer injections and immunizations within scope, including intradermal and intramuscular as needed
• Perform telephone triage and follow-up calls, prioritizing patient safety and clear communication
• Schedule appointments and manage clinic workflows to keep the day running smoothly
• Float between clinic locations within scope of practice to meet facility needs

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification preferred (MA-C preferred); MA-R accepted with strong prior clinical experience
• At least 6 months of MA clinical experience, ENT experience REQUIRED
• Current BLS certification required
• Comfortable and experienced with EPIC or other EMR systems and real-time scribing
• Reliable personal transportation required; public transit does not meet the requirement
• Comfortable assisting with procedures, specimen handling, injections, and phone triage
• Ability to float between clinic sites and adapt to different clinic workflows

Education

• MA certification preferred (CMA, RMA or equivalent); MA-R with clinical experience accepted
• BLS certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient charting and scribing in EPIC and general EMR best practices
• Strong rooming skills and accurate vital sign collection
• Specimen collection and proper labeling practices
• Experience assisting with biopsies, dressing changes, and minor surgical procedures
• Injection administration skills: intradermal and intramuscular
• Telephone triage, appointment scheduling, and patient communication
• Aseptic technique, basic wound care, and suture removal familiarity
• Comfortable with clinic workflow, stocking supplies, and patient prep
