Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as an LPN
• Administer medications and document administration accurately and timely
• Monitor vital signs and report changes in condition to the care team
• Support activities of daily living and promote resident dignity and independence
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care
• Maintain clear, timely charting and compliance with facility policies
• Participate in weekend coverage rotation and support smooth shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maine or eligibility to obtain one
• BLS/CPR certification required (current)
• Comfortable working evenings and committing to every-other-weekend coverage
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but not strictly required

Education

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Resident assessment: vital signs, skin integrity, basic wound observation
• Familiarity with electronic charting and clinical documentation
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Time management and prioritization on a busy shift
• Compassionate resident-centered care and effective communication
