Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and toileting while preserving dignity
Monitor and document vital signs, behavior changes, and patient needs accurately
Communicate observations and changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families to enhance care experience

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or equivalent) required
Active CNA registration or ability to obtain/transfer CNA credentials in Connecticut
Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
Willingness to complete required health screenings and background checks
Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with reliable attendance

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and personal care skills
Understanding of infection control and proper hygiene practices
Accurate documentation and charting skills
Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility
Effective communication with residents, families, and care team
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
