Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift (specific start/end times and days to be confirmed/TBD)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on personal care and support to residents with dignity and compassion
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Communicate clearly with team members and families to ensure coordinated care
Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (valid in Connecticut)
Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient transfers, ADLs, and basic bedside care
Familiarity with infection control and resident safety protocols
Reliable charting and accurate vital sign documentation
Good observational skills to notice and report changes in resident condition
Team-oriented attitude and strong interpersonal skills
