Location: Smethport, Pennsylvania

Start Date: 04-27-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8.5-hour shift (exact start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed with the hiring team)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Perform routine assessments and report changes in condition promptly
Document care in the electronic medical record clearly and timely
Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence

Qualifications

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Pennsylvania required
Current BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications a plus
Comfortable administering medications and performing routine assessments
Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

LPN diploma or certificate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and documentation best practices
Basic resident assessment and vital signs monitoring
Familiarity with long-term care standards and resident-centered care
Proficient charting in electronic medical record systems
Infection control and safety protocols
Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
