Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform portable radiography and fluoroscopic procedures with accuracy and patient-centered care
- Operate and assist with C-arm procedures in the OR and support surgical teams when needed
- Maintain radiation safety protocols and ensure high-quality imaging for diagnosis
- Document exams and patient information accurately in EPIC and complete required charting
- Respond professionally to trauma and urgent imaging needs during nights and on-call shifts
- Collaborate with nursing and allied health staff to optimize patient flow and imaging priorities
- Participate in holiday and call rotations to ensure continuous patient coverage
Qualifications
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of radiology experience (portable and fluoro experience strongly preferred)
- Experience with portable X-ray and fluoroscopy; C-arm and OR experience highly desirable
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system
- Willingness to work nights, participate in call and holiday rotations
- Candidates must NOT have been employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity within the past year
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
- Proficiency operating portable X-ray units and fluoroscopy equipment
- Competence with C-arm operation and sterile procedures in the OR environment
- Understanding of radiation safety and infection control best practices
- Comfortable using EPIC for documentation and orders
- Good communication skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to perform under pressure in acute care and trauma settings
