Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and interventions in an acute care setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore mobility and function
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate care
• Document interventions and progress accurately and timely in EPIC
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and discharge planning
• Contribute to unit quality improvement and participate in team meetings

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy license (required to submit)
• BLS Certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply
• Comfortable documenting and navigating EPIC
• Ability to work the Friday–Monday schedule and maintain reliable attendance

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of acute care physical therapy principles and interventions
• Proficiency with EPIC charting and clinical documentation
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Experience working within multidisciplinary acute care teams
• Familiarity with handling higher-acuity/trauma patients in a hospital setting
