Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility safely and respectfully
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Document patient observations clearly and accurately in the medical record
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to deliver coordinated, person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Help create a reassuring experience for patients and their families during transitions

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Comfortable providing hands-on patient care with attention to dignity and safety
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to per-diem scheduling needs

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care principles and infection control
• Skill in safe patient handling, transfers, and fall prevention
• Comfortable taking vitals and observing/reporting clinical changes
• Basic charting and documentation skills; openness to learning facility EMR
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with diverse patients
• Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with clinical staff
