Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess residents' conditions and create individualized, meaningful plans of care
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions to promote resident safety and positive outcomes
• Supervise and mentor nursing assistants and helpers to ensure high-quality resident care
• Manage the clinical environment to maintain safety and compliance with facility policies
• Follow the State Nurse Practice Act and applicable JCAHO standards in daily practice
• Model and promote Villa’s Way of Kindness and the facility’s core principles of Exceptional Care, Passionate Service, and Unexpected Luxury

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of SNF/LTC and Med-Surg nursing experience (this is a fast-paced setting)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association OR American Red Cross) required — bring a copy
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case)
• Ability to complete fingerprinting and any MI iCHAT-related requirements as part of onboarding
• Completed skills checklist within 1 year and references preferred — be ready to share your work history
• Comfort with flexible scheduling and working in a challenging, high-paced clinical environment

Education

• Active Registered Nurse license (Michigan). Degree not specified in posting.

• Patient/resident assessment and clinical decision-making

• Resident/patient safety and environment management
• Supervision and delegation to nursing assistants
• SNF/LTC and Med-Surg clinical experience and best practices
