Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic status and diagnostic results
• Deliver high-quality critical care interventions and respond quickly to acute changes
• Guide and educate patients and families to support recovery and continuity of care
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and documentation in EPIC EMR
• Oversee and direct activities of other nursing personnel as appropriate, upholding ICU standards

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care or critical care setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• DCI/BVP certification as listed for this role
• EPIC EMR experience required
• CCRN certification preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred

Education

• Active RN license in state of practice (current and valid)

• Patient assessment and application of the nursing process
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Critical care and ICU nursing practices
• Acute care nursing skills and rapid clinical decision-making
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
• Patient and family education skills and clear clinical communication
