Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition continuously and apply the nursing process to drive safe care
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans for critically ill patients
• Provide direct patient care including hemodynamic monitoring and advanced interventions
• Communicate clinical changes and abnormal results promptly to physicians and the care team
• Guide and teach patients, families and less-experienced staff to maintain high standards of care
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
• Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality and documentation within MEPIC EMR
• Participate in unit competency testing and skills validation to support quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN license (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• DCI/BVP certification as listed in role requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in acute care or critical care
• MEPIC EMR experience (required) — be ready to chart with confidence
• CCRN preferred but not required
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred; ability to meet health screening requirements
• Ability to pass drug screening, TB/PPD/X-ray, and required immunizations/fit testing

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking in high-acuity settings
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of diagnostic data
• Care planning, implementation and evaluation using the nursing process
• Clear, concise communication with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Experience providing direct ICU patient care and supervising support staff
• Comfortable documenting and navigating MEPIC EMR workflows
