Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Stabilize and treat acute conditions using evidence-based emergency nursing skills
• Document patient care thoroughly and efficiently in the EPIC electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation and respond to arrhythmias per protocol
• Maintain current certifications and participate in required competency evaluations
• Provide compassionate patient and family education during high-stress moments

Qualifications

• Active RN license with Nursys verification for California
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, NRP, and DCI/BVP certifications listed as required/expected
• Prior experience with EPIC strongly preferred
• Successful completion of rhythm interpretation screening and Prime skills assessments
• Ability to pass drug screening, TB testing, immunization requirements, and COVID-19 vaccine

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing best practices and rapid assessment skills
• Cardiac rhythm recognition and ACLS algorithms
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record workflows
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and team communication
• Comfort working in a variable per diem schedule and adapting to changing volumes
• Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining compassionate care
