Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and rhythm strips vigilantly, acting quickly on concerning changes
• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to telemetry patients using evidence-based practices
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in EPIC
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies according to protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Perform and maintain required competency checks and specialty exams
• Respond to emergency situations and support rapid, organized interventions

Qualifications

• Active RN license (California) with verification via Nursys
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• DCI/BVP certification as noted by the facility
• Experience using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems
• Ability to pass drug screening, TB testing, immunizations, fit testing, and other health requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Proficient use of EPIC for documentation and medication administration
• Strong clinical judgment and prioritization in acute settings
• Solid infection control and immunization compliance
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Comfort with 12-hour shift workflows and per diem scheduling
