Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to MedSurg, telemetry and PCU cardiac patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition
• Support cardiac catheterization patients with pre- and post-procedure care and documentation
• Float between MedSurg, Telemetry and PCU units while maintaining continuity and safety
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate effective care plans
• Maintain required competencies, complete Prime specialty exams and skills checklists as required
• Contribute to unit quality and safety initiatives and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Rhode Island is a compact state; licensure verification required)
• Minimum 2+ years recent RN experience with cardiac patient care and telemetry/PCU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (must be on file at time of submission — prior use required)
• EPIC clinical documentation experience required
• Nursys report within 30 days and license/certificate verification
• DCI/BVP familiarity and completion of Prime Skills Checklist preferred
• Ability to float across MedSurg, Telemetry and PCU and work every-other-weekend (Fri & Sat)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry rhythm recognition and cardiac monitoring skills
• Experience caring for patients post-cardiac catheterization and other cardiac procedures
• Proficient in EPIC charting and electronic clinical workflows
• Solid MedSurg assessment, medication administration and patient education skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting while floating
• Good communication and teamwork skills across disciplines
