Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care using assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Provide direct care for telemetry patients and manage cardiac monitoring promptly and accurately
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and the care team
• Document care and clinical findings in EPIC EMR clearly and timely
• Coach and educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to maintain standards of care on the Telemetry unit
• Respond quickly and clinically to patient deterioration and changes in cardiac rhythm

Qualifications

• Current and valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• EPIC (EMR) experience required
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience required
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Ability to pass drug screen, TB/PPD requirements, immunizations and fit testing as listed

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication with physicians, families and care teams
• Accurate bedside documentation in Epic EMR
• Experience with ventilator basics preferred
• Calm, decisive response to acute changes in patient condition
