Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Communicate effectively with physicians and the care team about clinical changes and test results
• Provide patient and family teaching to support recovery and self-care
• Document accurately in EPIC EMR and maintain standards of care on the Telemetry unit
• Guide and support other nursing personnel while maintaining patient safety and unit efficiency

Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN license
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience
• Ventilator management experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Ability to pass required screenings and competency exams (drug screen, skills checklist, specialty exam)

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Strong verbal and written communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with EPIC documentation and clinical workflows
• Patient and family education techniques
• Critical thinking and rapid response to clinical changes
