Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray exams accurately and efficiently to support timely patient care
• Position patients and equipment with attention to comfort and radiation safety
• Produce high-quality images and verify image clarity before submission
• Adhere to infection control, immunization, and safety protocols at all times
• Maintain clear, professional communication with radiologists, nurses, and patients
• Complete required competency exams and specialty checklists to demonstrate proficiency
• Verify and maintain licensure/certification documentation as required by the facility

Qualifications

• Current X-Ray technologist certification/credential as required by state/facility
• BLS certification (required)
• DCI/BVP certification (required)
• Successful License/Certificate Verification prior to start
• Completion of facility-required screenings: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, TB testing (PPD/Chest X-ray), and a 10-panel drug screen
• Ability to pass Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Fit test completion for respiratory protection where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and X-ray imaging techniques
• Familiarity with radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
• Competence in operating digital imaging equipment and processing systems
• Patient-centered care skills, including communication and comfort measures
• Ability to follow protocols, documentation standards, and quality control procedures
• Comfort working independently during night shifts and adapting to variable schedules
