Shift Type: Rotating 24-hour call shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (24-hour), 6-8 call shifts per month; on-call coverage includes weekends and holidays with 20-minute response time (contact by cell phone)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OB/GYN clinic care to the local community, managing roughly 18 patients/day in clinic
• Respond to Labor & Delivery and Emergency Department consults while on call, ensuring prompt, high-quality patient care
• Perform and assist with surgical obstetrics including C-sections and ectopic management, and supervise when needed
• Interpret fetal heart tracings and manage both routine and complicated deliveries, including VBACs
• Perform gynecologic procedures and emergent GYN surgeries as needed
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree perineal lacerations and provide post-op rounding as required
• Collaborate with anesthesia, OR staff, CNMs, and other providers for safe patient transfers and care coordination
• Document care in Epic EMR and participate in required credentialing and compliance processes

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology (Physician - OB/GYN)
• Comfortable and experienced with C-sections, ectopic management, VBACs, and fetal heart rate interpretation
• Skilled in repair of 3rd-4th degree lacerations and common GYN surgical procedures
• Proven experience with L&D unit coverage and ED consults
• Familiarity with Epic EMR for charting and clinical workflows
• Willingness to supervise and assist in the OR and to manage inductions and emergent cases
• Able to meet credentialing requirements (credentialing timeframe noted at 3 months; all documents due three weeks prior to start)

Education

• MD or DO with completed residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology

Knowledge & Skills

• OB/GYN clinical care across low and high risk pregnancies
• Labor and Delivery management including routine and complicated deliveries
• Surgical obstetrics and gynecologic procedures
• Fetal heart rate (FHR) interpretation and intrapartum decision making
• Emergency Department consult management and urgent OB/GYN scenarios
• Hands-on experience with Epic electronic medical record
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and timely on-call responsiveness
