Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP and advanced GI interventions
• Provide outpatient digestive health care at the Henry Ford Jackson Outpatient Digestive Health Center
• Manage hospital-based patients with an expected hospital census (approximately 14 patients/day)
• Document all patient encounters and procedures accurately in Epic to ensure seamless care
• Collaborate with a team of physicians and dedicated clinical staff to deliver patient-centered care
• Maintain compliance with credentialing, institutional policies, and quality standards

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Demonstrated experience performing colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP and advanced GI procedures
• Comfortable practicing in both outpatient and hospital-based settings
• Familiarity with Epic EMR (explicitly used at this site)
• Local candidates preferred (provider must be local; only mileage reimbursed)
• Ability to complete credentialing within the noted 90–120 day timeframe

Education

• MD or DO
• Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in endoscopic procedures and advanced GI interventions
• Strong clinical judgment for both outpatient digestive health and hospital-based care
• Efficient procedural time management (30-minute colonoscopies and EGDs; 60-minute doubles)
• Excellent communication and coordination with clinical staff
• Familiarity with Epic for charting and order entry
• Understanding of credentialing processes and institutional onboarding
