Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely clinical laboratory testing as an MLT/MLS to support patient care
• Operate, monitor and maintain laboratory instruments and perform quality control
• Document results in the laboratory information system and communicate critical values to clinical teams
• Follow safety protocols, infection control procedures and participate in required fit testing
• Assist with specimen processing, triage and troubleshooting to maintain workflow
• Complete required checklists and competency documentation such as Trinity Skills Checklist

Qualifications

• MLT or MLS certification required; ASCP preferred (MLT/MLS (ASCP) required per posting)
• BLS certification required
• Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and licensure/certificate verification
• Passing Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen, color vision test and current immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, 2-step PPD or IGRA) as part of health requirements
• Fit test clearance and a recent physical/health statement
• Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred; night shift experience a plus

Education

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent; MLS degree or relevant certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical laboratory technology and testing methodologies
• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, quality control and troubleshooting
• Comfortable using laboratory information systems and accurate documentation practices
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and infection control
• Good communication skills for interacting with clinical teams and reporting critical results
