Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts (specific start/end times not provided) — Night; flexible to work days, weekends and holidays. Note: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's RTOs not acceptable. May require working up to 48 hours/week as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate patient care as the Charge Nurse during your shift, ensuring smooth operations and safe staffing
- Assess, monitor and manage critically ill patients using advanced critical-care skills
- Manage ventilators, hemodynamic support and complex infusions with precision
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation per facility protocols and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
- Mentor and support bedside staff, fostering a positive learning environment
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and escalate changes in patient condition
- Provide compassionate education and communication to patients and families during high-stress moments
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience in a specialty critical-care setting
- Charge Nurse experience required — comfortable leading a shift
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Conscious Sedation certification required (facility can assist with obtaining certification)
- Flexible availability for nights, days, weekends and holidays as staffing needs change
- Strong critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills

- Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
- Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
- Proficient in conscious sedation monitoring and safety practices
- Leadership and charge nurse workflow management
- High-acuity patient assessment and rapid decision-making
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and care teams
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
