Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate patient care as the Charge Nurse during your shift, ensuring smooth operations and safe staffing
• Assess, monitor and manage critically ill patients using advanced critical-care skills
• Manage ventilators, hemodynamic support and complex infusions with precision
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation per facility protocols and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
• Mentor and support bedside staff, fostering a positive learning environment
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and escalate changes in patient condition
• Provide compassionate education and communication to patients and families during high-stress moments

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience in a specialty critical-care setting
• Charge Nurse experience required — comfortable leading a shift
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Conscious Sedation certification required (facility can assist with obtaining certification)
• Flexible availability for nights, days, weekends and holidays as staffing needs change
• Strong critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills

• Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
• Proficient in conscious sedation monitoring and safety practices
• Leadership and charge nurse workflow management
• High-acuity patient assessment and rapid decision-making
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and care teams
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
