Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night shift), includes weekends (typically 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; Friday or Saturday nights)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for a high-acuity, fast-paced ED
- Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with critical conditions
- Perform and assist with advanced procedures such as RSI and central line placement and care
- Initiate and manage sepsis interventions and follow stroke protocol including tPA administration
- Coordinate transfers under EMTALA guidelines and communicate effectively with receiving facilities
- Document clinical care accurately in Meditech and contribute to smooth handoffs
- Collaborate with physicians, medics, and the care team to deliver timely, patient-centered care
- Serve as a reliable team member who supports unit flow and mentors colleagues when needed
Qualifications
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) credential
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience; 2-3 years preferred
- Completion of 2-3 prior travel assignments is required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC preferred; ENPC, NRP, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) experience are strong pluses
- Comfort working in high-acuity, fast-paced environments with 4-6:1 patient ratios
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency nursing skills and critical care procedures
- Experience with Meditech electronic medical record system
- Familiarity with RSI, central line care, sepsis protocols, and stroke/tPA workflows
- Ability to manage transfers and EMTALA processes
- Excellent teamwork, situational awareness, and communication skills in a busy ED
