Shift Type: Rotating nights including weekends, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts); schedule includes every-other-weekend or 4 weekend shifts during the assignment
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients continuously using cardiac telemetry to detect changes early
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to arrhythmias and hemodynamic changes
- Manage chest tubes, epidurals and post-op surgical care with attention to detail
- Administer and titrate critical drips (e.g., NTG, Cardizem, Amiodarone) safely and according to protocol
- Provide compassionate post-catheterization and post-op care, including device and groin site management
- Document thoroughly in Meditech to ensure accurate, team-wide communication
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient-centered plans of care
- Educate patients and families about recovery, medications and follow-up care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of relevant PCU/telemetry experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Comfort and experience with cardiac telemetry, chest tube care, epidurals and post-op nursing
- Familiarity with Meditech or similar EMR systems is highly desirable
- Strong teamwork, communication and time-management skills in high-turnover settings
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
- Chest tube management and post-operative surgical care
- Experience with critical drips and epidural/PCA management
- Post-cath and device care including groin site management
- Proficient documentation in Meditech or comparable EMR
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients with changing acuity
- Collaborative approach and strong bedside patient education skills
