Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate care to critically ill adult patients in an 11-bed ICU
• Manage ventilators and advanced life support equipment to maintain optimal respiratory function
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and quickly recognize and escalate changes to the team
• Assist physicians with bedside intubations and bronchoscopies to support timely procedures
• Perform and assist with SLED, TEE, and cardioversions as needed for complex cases
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate handoffs effectively
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Mentor and support teammates to maintain a positive, high-energy unit culture

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (RN required for the role)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Strong experience with ventilator management and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Comfortable assisting with intubation, bronchoscopy, SLED, TEE and cardioversion
• Experience with Meditech EMR and GE bedside monitoring is a plus
• Excellent critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing fundamentals and ICU procedures
• Ventilator management and ability to titrate support
• Cardiac monitoring and rhythm strip interpretation
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and GE bedside monitoring systems
• Assisting with advanced procedures (intubation, bronchoscopy, TEE)
• Renal replacement support knowledge (SLED)
• Calm, decisive clinical judgment in high-acuity situations
• Strong teamwork and patient/family communication skills
