Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans using established protocols to provide images physicians can trust
• Operate and troubleshoot CT equipment while maintaining strict safety and infection-control standards
• Position patients compassionately and explain procedures clearly to reduce anxiety and ensure compliance
• Administer contrast per protocol and monitor patients for adverse reactions, escalating concerns promptly
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to optimize patient care and workflow
• Accurately document procedures, maintain PACS/DICOM records, and ensure timely image transfers
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve imaging accuracy and patient experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (as indicated)
• ARRT (R) certification and/or CT registry eligible or certified (preferred)
• Current state radiologic technologist license or ability to obtain licensure in Florida
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Familiarity with CT contrast administration and emergency response procedures
• Strong patient-facing communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts and travel for a 13-week contract

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, Imaging Sciences, or related field (required)
• ARRT certification (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of CT protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Proficiency with PACS, DICOM workflows, and common CT vendor interfaces
• Radiation safety principles and ALARA best practices
• Ability to troubleshoot imaging artifacts and basic equipment issues
• Solid patient positioning and venous access skills for contrast studies
• Effective communication with radiologists and multidisciplinary clinical teams
