Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans while prioritizing patient safety and excellent image quality
- Position patients accurately and explain procedures clearly to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation
- Operate CT equipment, select protocols, and troubleshoot technical issues to support diagnostic needs
- Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to ensure timely, accurate imaging and reporting
- Maintain accurate patient records in PACS/EMR and adhere to documentation standards
- Follow radiation safety principles, infection control policies, and facility protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in CT as stated in the posting
- Registered or registry-eligible in CT (ARRT) preferred; state licensure as required
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Strong patient care and communication skills with a professional bedside manner
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts for the 13-week assignment
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CT program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with CT scanners and cross-sectional imaging protocols
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Experience using PACS, RIS, and EMR systems for image handling and documentation
- Skilled in patient positioning, IV contrast administration basics, and protocol selection
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and communicate effectively with clinicians
