Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM — rotating schedule including weekends (Night/Rotating)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert critical care nursing for MICU/MSICU patients, managing complex ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients
- Perform ICU procedures and bedside interventions such as central line care, thoracentesis support, dialysis coordination, cardioversion assistance and intubation when needed
- Manage ventilator settings and participate in ventilator weaning plans in collaboration with the care team
- Respond promptly and professionally to Rapid Response and code situations
- Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes clearly during handoffs
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and allied teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families with empathy and clear communication during stressful times
Qualifications
- Active RN Texas license required (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
- Minimum 2+ years of recent MICU/MSICU critical care nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CCRN preferred
- Demonstrated experience with ventilator management and other advanced ICU procedures
- Comfortable using Meditech documentation system; familiarity with NXStage and cardiac output monitoring a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care assessment and clinical judgment
- Ventilator management and weaning strategies
- Familiarity with ICU equipment: ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, GE Cardiac Output monitor
- Proficient documentation skills in Meditech
- Ability to perform or support procedures (central lines, thoracentesis, dialysis, intubation, cardioversion)
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and crisis-management skills
