Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough head-to-toe patient assessments and prioritize care based on clinical findings
• Continuously monitor telemetry and intervene promptly for rhythm changes
• Administer and manage IV medications and drips, including Lasix and heparin, and provide IV push medications like metoprolol and diltiazem
• Deliver expert wound and drain care, including VAC therapy management
• Provide NG/G-tube care and manage enteral and parenteral nutrition safely
• Manage central lines, PICCs, midlines, and hemodialysis catheter care with strict infection-control practices
• Provide compassionate postoperative, ostomy, Foley/nephrostomy/suprapubic catheter care
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Altera/Allscripts Sunrise
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds (MDR) and collaborate with the care team to promote excellent patient experience

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competence with IV therapy, infusion management, and IV push medications
• Experience with wound care, drain management, VAC therapy, and ostomy care
• Ability to perform NG/G-tube care and manage enteral/parenteral nutrition
• Comfortable caring for central lines, PICCs, midlines, and hemodialysis catheters
• Familiarity with Altera/Allscripts Sunrise or similar EMR
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and cover every-other-weekend (EOW) scheduling
