Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 5x8-hour day shifts; call 2-3 days/week + every 3rd weekend (day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $72 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative patient care as the circulating nurse in the OR
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia and the perioperative team to ensure smooth case flow
- Perform and monitor arterial and central lines and initiate IV access when needed
- Manage ventilator and BiPAP support for perioperative patients as appropriate
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and a current skills checklist pertinent to specialty
- Support patient and family education, ensuring comfort and understanding of procedures
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols and hospital policies in a community hospital setting
- Participate in on-call coverage and respond professionally during assigned call days and weekends
Qualifications
- Current RN license for New Hampshire (Compact allowed) — licenses and certifications must be current and in hand
- Minimum 2 years current hospital experience — REQUIRED
- OR circulation experience across ortho (including total hip/total knee), general surgery, gyn, podiatry, urology, ENT, ENDO — REQUIRED
- Proven skills with arterial lines, central lines and IV starts — REQUIRED
- Ventilator and BiPAP experience — REQUIRED
- Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications — REQUIRED
- 1 supervisory signed reference from the past two years of employment — include with submission
- BSN preferred; previous travel experience preferred
- Submission must include permanent address (NO LOCALS — perm address must be 50+ miles from facility) and RTO (limit to no more than 5 days)
Education
- BSN preferred
- Active RN licensure (New Hampshire or Compact eligible)
Knowledge & Skills
- Operating room circulation and perioperative patient care best practices
- Perioperative nursing across orthopedic, general, gynecologic and specialty cases
- Arterial/central line care, IV starts and vascular access troubleshooting
- Ventilator and BiPAP management in the perioperative/acute care setting
- ACLS, BLS and PALS protocols and emergency response
- Clear, concise documentation and maintenance of a current skills checklist
- Strong teamwork, communication and patient advocacy in a small hospital environment
