Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and accurately record prescribed medications to ensure safe patient care
• Perform dressing changes and wound care with attention to infection control and healing
• Insert and manage catheters and start IVs to support patient treatment plans
• Adjust and operate specialized medical equipment and interpret measurement readouts
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and clinical status, escalating concerns promptly
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly and professionally
• Report adverse drug reactions and other urgent events in a timely manner to the care team

Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma RN license or compact RN eligibility (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIH (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Recent travel nurse experience highly preferred
• Current work history and skills checklist (current to 1 year)
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Availability to complete facility onboarding and required documentation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration knowledge and accurate clinical documentation
• Proficiency in wound care and dressing changes
• Competence with catheter insertion and IV starts
• Experience adjusting and interpreting readings from specialized medical equipment
• Skilled in patient monitoring, vital signs assessment, and early recognition of clinical change
• Ability to report adverse drug reactions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
