Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour nights (schedule varies, includes weekends); 36-hour weekly guarantee

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Triage and assess patients promptly to determine acuity and immediate needs
- Perform skilled nursing interventions and initiate life-saving care independently when needed
- Obtain patient history, vital signs, and perform thorough assessments to guide treatment
- Carry out a wide range of clinical procedures and assist physicians during interventions
- Provide clear discharge instructions and patient education to support recovery and follow-up
- Answer ambulance radio calls and direct prehospital care when required
- Participate in care planning and evaluate treatment effectiveness to improve outcomes
- Deliver compassionate physical and psychological comfort to patients and families
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license (must be active)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required
- BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NRP and TNCC — all required
- Travel experience highly preferred
- Experience in rural medicine or Level IV Trauma Center settings is a plus
- Able to work independently in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
Knowledge & Skills
- Triage, patient assessment and rapid decision-making
- Proficient in emergency nursing and prehospital care protocols
- Skilled in obtaining and interpreting vital signs and clinical data
- Comfortable with a variety of clinical procedures and advanced equipment
- Effective patient and family education and discharge planning
- Ambulance radio communication and giving prehospital orders
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system
- Strong teamwork, communication, and stress-resilience skills
